Evening SoulLux Babes,
In a city that's famous for its gaming and entertainment, it's easy to forget that Las Vegas is also a foodie paradise.
If you're looking for a great meal in Las Vegas, Biwon is the place to go. Just a quick ten minute drive off the strip, Biwon is a great experience for a reasonable price. The actual restaurant is a little hole in the wall that looks real sketchy if you are unfamiliar with the area. We honestly thought our Uber driver switched up and tried to kidnap us after engaging us in delightful conversation, but everything turned out well.
Biwon's specialty is a combination of sushi and Korean BBQ and will run each person about $39.99 (+tax) to try both options. A cool option they provided was the option to order half sushi rolls vs a full roll. I was able to try more options this way, my favorite was the XXX roll (pronounced "Triple X" roll), a sushi roll with soft shell crab and cucumber on the inside with spicy salmon, spicy tuna, spicy crab, with a spicy garlic ponzu sauce on top.
Biwon ranks $$ on the luxury scale, fairly priced considering it's in Las Vegas ($) but the amount of options available to try gives it an extra boost!
Night 4: The Magic Mike Show
I've been to a few male strip shows in my life, but this one was different.
The highlight of our fourth night was The Magic Mike Show. A female centric male burlesque show that shows the things that women actually want to see in this type of show. This show is completely devoid of the typical "grossness" that is felt in a male dancer show.
The Magic Mike show is a 10/10 a must if you're looking for a fun night out with your girls! This show ranks $$$ on the luxury scale and will set you back about $90.00 before buying any drinks before or during the show.
The men were delicious, talented, and interacted well with the audience. One thing I absolutely love about this show is their focus on consent. In the beginning of the show, the host talks consent and provides a magic word to use if you or the dancer ever feel uncomfortable about an interaction.
The playlist is well curated and uses all the songs from the movies.
Dinner was at Carmine, an Italian restaurant that served all items family style. We dined on cheesy garlic bread, fried zucchini strips, pasta, meatballs, topped with a very strong berry drink.
The first course of the evening was the cheesy garlic bread. It had a delicious cheese sauce that was just thick enough to coat the bread but not too thick so as to make it hard to chew or swallow. The bread itself was soft and fresh and had a nice crunchy crust.
Next up were the fried zucchini strips which were delicious! They were served with a creamy ranch dressing that complemented them perfectly. The zucchini was tender and juicy on the inside while crispy on the outside.
For our main course we had pasta with meatballs and marinara sauce which was followed by a side of salad. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente which means "firm to the bite" in Italian! The marinara sauce had a rich tomato flavor with hints of basil throughout which gave it an earthy undertone as well as some sweetness from red wine vinegar.
Carmine provides an amazing experience and ranks $$ on the luxury scale.
The Magic Mike Show and Carmine's for dinner was the perfect way to end our fourth night in Vegas. We topped off the night with dessert from Grand Lux Cafe. I opted for the Warm Butter Cake which was a great life decision.
Till next time SoulLuxes,
Lauren
